About the Artist

A New Chapter in the Artistic Journey
Artist Biography
I have enjoyed a lifelong love of drawing and painting, and to this day, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the opportunity to pursue a life devoted to creative expression. In my earlier years, I worked as a successful graphic designer and illustrator while developing my own artistic voice. Today, painting has become my full-time pursuit, offering an ever-deepening connection to the world around me and the freedom to explore new directions in my work.
My paintings are inspired by the beauty and complexity of the natural world and the quiet moments that often reveal the most. Whether working outdoors or in the studio, I am drawn to the subtle interplay of light and shadow, the feeling of atmosphere, and the fleeting qualities that make a particular place or moment unique. My goal is not simply to record what I see, but to capture something of what I feel.
Having spent several years immersed in the coastal landscapes of Monterey and Carmel, I carry those experiences with me as I enter a new chapter in my life and art. No longer living by the sea, I find myself looking at the world with fresh eyes, open to new surroundings, subjects, and possibilities. Change has become part of the creative journey itself and reminder that inspiration is not bound to a particular place but can be discovered wherever curiosity and observation lead.
I hold a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising from San Jose State University. My artistic foundation began much earlier, inspired by my grandparents, whose studios and paintings first showed me the possibilities of a creative life. Over the years, I have continued to learn from accomplished contemporary artists, the great painters of history, and, most importantly, the experience of painting itself. I believe there is no substitute for the lessons that come through practice, experimentation, and the willingness to keep exploring.
Along the way, my work has received awards and recognition and has been featured in magazines and newspapers. I am especially grateful that my paintings have found homes with collectors around the world. While these acknowledgments are meaningful, my greatest satisfaction comes from the act of painting itself: following an idea, discovering something unexpected, and allowing each new work to take me somewhere I had not anticipated.
As I move into this next phase of my life, I look forward to the continued evolution of my work, embracing new experiences and perspectives while remaining true to the simple joy of creating.
