One of my favorite things to do is hike to local foothills with my painting gear on-hand. Many times I'll hike for a few miles before I tire and set my backpack down. This was one of those occasions. There was a nice shady oak tree to give me reprieve from the bright sun. It was such a nice quiet area with the birds chirping and good feeling that I decided that this was the perfect spot to paint.
